We defined thinking as integrating data and arriving at correct answers. Look around you. Most people do that stunt just well enough to get to the corner store and back without breaking a leg. If the average man thinks at all, he does silly things like generalizing from a single datum. He uses one-valued logics. If he is exceptionally bright, he may use two-valued, ‘either-or’ logic to arrive at his wrong anwers. If he is hungry, hurt, or personaly interested in the answer, he can’t use any sort of logic and will discard an observed fact as blithely as he will stake his life on a piece of wishful thinking. He
uses the technical miracles created by superior men without wonder nor surprise, as a kitten accepts a bowl of milk. Far from aspiring to higher reasoning, he is not even aware that higher reasoning exists. He classes his own mental process as being of the same sort as the genius of an Einstein. Man is not a rational animal; he is a rationalizing animal.
For explanations of a universe that confuses him, he seizes onto numerology, astrology, hysterical religions, and other fancy ways to go crazy. Having accepted such glorified nonsense, facts make no impression on him, even if at the cost of his own life. Joe, one of the hardest things to believe is the abysmal depth of human stupidity.

I am truly interested in how this statement is interpreted by you?

Religion seems to keep crossing my desk, and why not argue more?

 

History does not record anywhere a religion that has any rational basis.
Religion is a crutch for people not strong enough to stand up to the unknown without help.
But, like dandruff, most people do have a religion and spend time and money on it and seem to derive considerable pleasure from fiddling with it.

Please don’t misunderstand me, but it really needs to be said.

This also reminds me of a message I sent to my Doctor’s secretary concerning some normal labwork orders tha I have been getting for the past 10 years…  please remember that most of the "cast" is the same and the orders are "Standing Orders":

I don’t doubt you at all I told the Admin.   As I said, the older ladies that I deal with at the front desk always tend to make an issue out of having to find an order that they say that they do not have; I have sat in that office for 3 hours sometimes, or Left and came back, or  just waiting for an order to arrive by FAX from the  clinic, but I think their Servers in the city aren’t Updating their remote office properly, and/or they do not know how to operate a FAX machine, or change the paper, or they are waiing  for the person that "Does" know how to change the paper in the FAX machine to get back from their break or some such thing. Either way… I know YOU sent the Orders….

And you thought you had problems? Heeh…:)

 

That was supposed to be the My Blog title today  because I was gonna Bitch about something, which I probably will later, but I think I am gonna start with something on a brighter note first and that is

I Received my order from SG today and man was I so psyc’d out!

The Italian Villa DVD filled with so many of the Beautiful, Exotic Suicide Girls. They have some of the finest Ink work on their bodies and when their excitement is contagious.

Why is it that when you try to impart what I term as " Turds of Wisdom" to someone, they continue to disregard your information.
